ImprovCon is a multi-day celebration of improvisational theater bringing together performers, teachers, students, producers, and fans from around the world. It's part convention, part festival, part party featuring performances, workshops, panels, meetups, and unforgettable shared experiences.
Our mission is to advance and celebrate improv as an art form, while creating a joyful, welcoming space for connection and play.
ImprovCon takes place August 20–23, 2026, in San Diego, California, with programming hosted at the Town and Country Resort

Selected performers, panelists, and volunteers receive a 3.5-Day ImprovCon Pass in exchange for their participation. Details are outlined in our universal participation agreement.
Yes! Volunteers generously offer their time to help make the event run smoothly. Typical volunteer roles include:
Volunteers participate freely and are not employees of ImprovCon. In appreciation for their contribution, volunteers receive a 3.5-Day ImprovCon Pass and the opportunity to be part of the heart of the event. All volunteers are asked to agree to ImprovCon's participation guidelines and Code of Conduct.

Yes. ImprovCon is committed to accessibility and inclusion. Venues are ADA-compliant, and we strive to accommodate access needs whenever possible. If you have specific accessibility needs, please contact us in advance so we can support you.

Refund and transfer policies are outlined at the time of pass purchase. Some passes may be transferable but not refundable. If you have questions about your pass, please reach out before the event.
Yes. By attending ImprovCon, you may be photographed or recorded for promotional and archival purposes. If you have concerns, please notify the ImprovCon team on site.
